Open-for-all volleyball tournament at Etelä-Hervanta school on Saturday 27th September 2025. This time, the games will be played with the same teams from start to finish. You don’t need a team to participate! Everyone signs up as an individual, and we as organizers will create the most balanced teams possible.
Lunch, Sauna, Cafe
This time, you also have the possibility of buying lunch at the school for nine euros. There’s also a sauna possibility after the tournament, also for a ridiculous 9 euro price. For both of these, we need to know the number of people in advance, so please order your lunch & sign up for sauna as you sign up for he tournament. There’s also going to be a cafe at the tournament, for a junior club (Supi Volley), so please take account of this opportunity!
Tournament Info
The tournament will most likely be played in two skill levels at the stunning new school in South Hervanta. Lately, our tournaments have been very popular, so it’s worth securing your spot early!
Games will be played in teams of exactly six players, so the last few to sign up might miss out due to numbers not adding up evenly.

The tournament takes place on Saturday, September 27th, at Etelä-Hervanta school, roughly between 9:30 AM and 6 PM. There is a mezzanine for spectators or those waiting for their turn. The exact timetable depends on how many players sign up – fewer players means an earlier finish, while more participants might mean staggered start times and some games ending later. No one’s day will last from morning to night, though.
This tournament will be played in teams – we will form teams from the registered individuals, and those same teams will play the entire day together. The game format depends on the number of teams but usually includes a round-robin followed by playoff games for everyone. We aim to form teams that are as balanced as possible, including a good mix of different player types. You’ll get plenty of action – about 8–10 full volleyball sets over the day. You’ll definitely get your fill of hitting the ball!
Teams will also referee each other’s matches, so everyone will have some officiating duties.
When registering, you can indicate your preferred division, but we can’t guarantee your wish will be fulfilled. If you’re not a regular at Höntsy, please fill this section carefully – the easiest and clearest way is to compare yourself to someone familiar to us! Also, if you are a regular but currently not playing at your usual level (e.g. due to a minor injury), please let us know.
