Saturday, April 5th: Table Format Games
On Saturday, April 5th, the games will be played in a table format. Teams are assigned from a pre-set table, a short game is played, and players earn points based on the final score (3-0, 2-0, or 2-1). Then, new teams are assigned, the next game is played, and so on.
Points are earned as a team, but since team compositions change after each game, each player accumulates an individual score. After this, there will be one more tournament this spring on Saturday, May 17th, where teams will remain the same from start to finish.

Tournament Structure & Levels
Our goal is always to have enough players to organize two skill-level tournaments. There is usually some movement between these levels at the tournament’s halfway point. In some cases, initial groups may fall between these two levels.
When signing up, you can request a division, but placement is not guaranteed. Players are assigned based on their preferences, experience, skill level, and past tournament results—along with a rotation principle for borderline cases.
The goal is to ensure fair, enjoyable games for everyone throughout the tournament. After the initial group stage, players are split into finals of different levels based on their performance. Everyone advances, regardless of success in the early rounds—only the final level is determined based on group play. This way, everyone gets plenty of games and a great tournament atmosphere!
Tournament Details
📅 Date: Saturday, April 5th
📍 Location: Etelä-Hervanta School
⏰ Time: 9 AM – 8 PM (no one’s tournament lasts this long!)
- If there are many players, we’ll stagger start and end times.
- If fewer players register, the tournament will likely run from 10 AM – 5 PM.
- Important: Gym time must be finalized more than a week before the tournament. If many players register after that, we may run out of space. The earlier you sign up, the better your chances of getting in!
All games aim to be 6 vs. 6, but depending on the number of players, 1-2 groups may play 5 vs. 5. Some groups may have more than 12 players, meaning each player will have a rest round during rotation (i.e., no substitutes in a single set).

- With a monthly Höntsy Pass: €20
- Regular price: €27
- Discounted price (students, retirees, unemployed): €22
📝 Registration deadline: Thursday, April 3rd
- Registration is binding, meaning you commit to paying the fee even if you don’t attend.
- Cancellations are only allowed for compelling reasons.
- If you cancel before April, no cancellation fee applies.
- Starting 1st April, a €10 cancellation fee applies.
- No-show policy: If you don’t show up without notifying us (even on the same morning), you will be charged double the tournament fee, as schedules are pre-planned and a no-show disrupts the entire event.
