On Saturday, November 1, the last table volleyball tournament of the year will be held at the magnificent Etelä-Hervanta School. The tournament is open to everyone, and you don’t need a team to participate. Different levels!
Straight to signing up: sign up form.
Here’s general info about our volleyball tournaments in English.
The games will be played with rotating line-ups. The divisions will be determined from the table, a short game will be played, and the players will be awarded points based on the final score: 3-0, 2-0, or 2-1. The next teams are determined, the next game is played, and so on. Points are earned as a team, but when the line-ups change, each player accumulates their own personal points. Other tournaments this winter season:
- December 27 with teams
- February 7: teams, next year’s overall competition begins
- March 7: teams
- April 18: teams
- May 23 with teams
This tournament will also decide the 2025 Iskuri and Peippaaja Grand Slam competitions!

The goal is to always have enough players to play two-level tournaments. Between these, there is usually a small player movement in the middle of the tournament. It is also possible that one or more of the initial groups will be placed between these two levels.
When registering, you can indicate your series preference, but we cannot guarantee that it will be fulfilled. When placing players, we use our own preferences as well as game sense, common sense, and the previous tournament success of the players in question – as well as the principle of rotation when moving between series.
The goal is, of course, to ensure that the games are at a suitable level for the players and as meaningful as possible throughout the long day. After the preliminary rounds, about halfway through the tournament, the players are divided into different levels for the finals. Everyone will advance regardless of their success – only the level of the finals will be decided in the preliminary rounds. We wish everyone lots of games and a great tournament atmosphere, regardless of their success!
The tournament will be played at Etelä-Hervanta School from approximately 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. If there are a lot of players, the start and end times will be staggered, and for some, the tournament may last longer into the evening. Please note that the length of the hall time must be finalized more than a week before the tournament – if there are a lot of registrations after that, not everyone will be able to participate. The earlier you register, the more likely you are to be able to participate.
All games in the tournament will be played 6 vs. 6. Depending on the number of players, 1-2 groups may also be formed to play 5 vs. 5. Games can also be played in groups of more than 12 players, in which case each player will always have a turn (i.e., there will be no substitutes in a single game).
How much does it cost? With a monthly Höntsypass, the price is €20, for others the normal price is €27 and the reduced price (students, pensioners, unemployed) is €22.
Registration closes on Thursday, October 30. Registration is binding, meaning you agree to pay the game fee even if you do not show up. Cancellations are only possible due to unavoidable circumstances. Cancellations due to compelling reasons are free of charge until October 29, after which a cancellation fee of €10 will be charged. If you fail to show up and do not notify us of your cancellation (even on the morning of the tournament), you will be charged double the tournament fee. This is because the tournament tables are set up in advance, and the entire process has to be redone if you fail to show up.
