Volleyball Tournament 27th Dec 2025

Come play on the days between holidays! The last tournament of the year is coming up. The games will be played with the same teams from start to finish. You don’t need a team to participate! Sign up as an individual, and we will divide the participants into teams that are as evenly matched as possible.

The tournament will most likely be played in two different leagues at the magnificent new school in Etelä-Hervanta. Recently, there have been a lot of participants in the tournaments, so it’s a good idea to secure your spot in time! The games are played in teams of exactly six players, so for this reason, too, the last few registrants may be left out.

The tournament will be played on Saturday, December 27, at the Etelä-Hervanta school from approximately 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will be a spectator area for those taking a break and others who are interested. The exact time of the tournament depends on the number of participants—if there are fewer people, the tournament will end earlier. If there are a lot of people, we will divide them into shifts, and the end time may be later than mentioned above.

This tournament is played with the same teams from start to finish. The number of teams affects the game system, but usually there is a preliminary round followed by playoffs for everyone. We strive to form teams that are as balanced as possible, with a good mix of different types of players. There will be plenty of games, about 8-10 full sets throughout the day. You are guaranteed to get plenty of playing time.

In the tournament, the teams referee each other’s games, so each team will also have to referee.

When registering, you can indicate your preference for a series, but we cannot guarantee that it will be fulfilled.

Players will be placed based on the coaches’ knowledge of the players and the previous tournament success of the registrants – and, in the case of new players, of course, also on what they tell us about themselves. If you are not a regular player at Höntsy, please fill in this section carefully – the easiest and most illustrative way is to compare yourself to a player we know! Similarly, if you are a regular player but for some reason (e.g., a minor injury) you are not currently at your usual level, please let us know. The normal price for the game is €27 and the reduced price is €22 (students, pensioners, unemployed, parents on parental leave). With a Höntsy pass (our monthly membership), the fee is €20.
