Will the pass go to the setter? Will the attack go over the net? Can you guess where the ball is going? Would you like to improve your game? If so, we are offering a training session in late autumn! The course is intended for players at the semi lower level who are interested in advancing to semi higher level. 

Where and when?

The course will be held in the large hall at Lielahti School on Wednesdays from 8:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. It will start after the autumn break on October 22. There will be four sessions: October 22, November 12, November 26, and December 3.

It is also possible that a follow-up course or another volleyball course will be organized in the spring, depending on demand.

Who, what, for whom?

The course will be led by volleyball coach Mitja Ohtola, who has extensive experience in teaching volleyball to Höntsy players.

Who is the course suitable for? The idea is to help semi-lower level players improve their game to reach the semi-upper level. Participants should therefore already have at least moderate basic skills and an understanding of the different roles and positions on the court.

What will we do? The main themes of the course are reviewing basic skills, movement and positioning, serving, and attacking.

How many people can participate, and how much does it cost?

The course will be held if at least 8-10 people sign up. There is room for a maximum of 16 people. If the course does not fill up, we will offer the opportunity to participate in a single session for the regular drop-in fee, with a clear topic/theme set for each session. If there are more than 16 participants, some kind of ”discretionary selection” will be applied. New Höntsypass holders will be given priority, but otherwise the aim is to select players who would benefit most from this course.

If a course participant purchases a new Höntsy pass, they will receive the course fee as part of the deal, i.e., the course is included in the price of the pass.

For other Höntsy pass holders, the course fee is €10.

(The pass must be valid for the entire duration of the course, except in cases of injury or other unavoidable circumstances).

Without a Höntsy pass, the course fee is €49, or you can purchase the course + a 5-visit Höntsy card at a discounted package price of €89.
